Introduction: Natural disasters cause many problems for society. Children are one of the most vulnerable groups that could face severe mental illness and are often separated from their family members and primary caregivers in this situation. Therefore, professional interventions are necessary to reduce the consequence of such situations for children. The purpose of this article is to report a social work intervention in a natural disaster.
Case Description: Hadi was a three years old boy who was one of the victims of the Kermanshah earthquake. As well as physical injuries, he was severely distressed and separated from his parents caused by the earthquake. His family suffered from the parents’ high conflict relationship. Hadi’s mother was hospitalized and his father refused to take care of him. Hadi received a social work intervention relying on crisis intervention approach, stress reduction techniques and IDTR. Therefore Hadi recovered his good feeling and reunified with his family.
Conclusions: Using the crisis intervention approach, social workers should provide appropriate services for affected people in the shortest time when disasters occur. Scientific evidence suggested that IDTR could affect children’s mental health and child protection in natural disasters.

The research instrument was a questionnaire and its face validity was determined by reviewing the views of the faculty members and the experts of the IKRC. The content validity of the research tool was determined using content validity ratio and content validity index, in which the value of the content validity ratio was eighty-eight hundredths
and the value of the content validity index was eighty-four hundredths. The reliability of the questionnaire by calculating the Cronbach's alpha of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats was 0.889, 0.894, 0.818 and 0.837, respectively. Data were analyzed using the SWOT method with SPSS22 and Excel software.
Results: The most important strength was using the workforce of other family members and creating a family work background; the most important weakness was insufficient information and technical skill of the clients to start the business; the most important opportunity was providing free technical and vocational training and the most important threat was imports of similar products at a lower price.

Introduction: Children with abdominal pain often require psychological complementary therapies, along with medical treatments, due to the combination of symptoms with psychological factors. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of resiliency based play therapy and cognitive-behavioral play therapy on abdominal pain in children with functional abdominal pain.
Methods: The current study was quasi-experimental research with a pretest, posttest, follow-up and a control group. The research participants consisted of twenty-four children with functional abdominal pain aged five to ten years old in the city of Isfahan, who were selected using the purposeful sampling method. They were randomly assigned to two therapeutic groups and a control group, each group with eight children. Walker et al abdominal pain questionnaire and child and mother report were used measuring the dependent variable in pretest, posttest and follow up. The first and second groups along with medical treatments they received a treatment course on resiliency based play therapy and cognitive-behavioral play therapy in eight sessions while except regular medical treatments the control group received none. The data were analyzed using repeated-measures analysis of variance.
Results: The results revealed that there was only a significant difference between resiliency based play therapy and cognitive-behavioral play therapy with the control group in abdominal pain in both forms of mother and child report. Child report F=8.91, mother report F=6.78, P <0.01. There was no significant difference P>0.05 between resiliency based play therapy and cognitive-behavioral play therapy.
Conclusions: Resiliency based play therapy and cognitive-behavioral play therapy has been effective in reducing the abdominal pain of children with functional abdominal pain. Therefore, these two types of treatment can be used to improve functional abdominal pain in children with this disorder at treatment centers.

Introduction: Medication adherence has an essential role in good clinical outcome in the treatment of chronic psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder and prevents psychiatric readmission. Medication non-adherence is prevalent among more than fifty percent of patients with chronic psychotic disorders. If a patient stops taking the medicine, the risk of relapse will increase three or five times. The purpose of this article is to report a group work intervention of social work based on Liberman model with the psycho-educational approach to increase the adherence treatment in a psychiatric hospital in Tehran..
Case Description: To organize a group in a psychiatric hospital, a social work student followed these stages: needs assessment, writing a proposal for organizing a group, conducting interviews with potential members, doing a pretest, conducting group work sessions and doing a posttest to evaluate the intervention.
During the needs assessment, the most eight common problems among patients in the ward were identified and patients’ non-inherence to treatment was selected as the first priority for the group work. Three sessions were conducted based on the community re-entry program. Due to the characteristics of patients in the ward, the psycho-educational approach was applied. Group intervention was evaluated using a pretest and posttest designed for the community re-entry program that was conducted in individual sessions and after the last session, respectively.
Conclusions: According to the results from the pretest and posttest, this group intervention has been effective in learning the importance of treatment adherence in patients.

Introduction: Intimacy is a key index in marital relationships, which is an important feature of a successful marriage. This feature refers to the existence of interactions in couples. Loss or lack of intimacy is an index of chaos in marital relationships. The present study was aimed to examine the relationship between couples' intimacy and positive thinking with cognitive flexibility in married mothers of students of Tehran.
Methods: The statistical population of the present study consisted of all mothers of students of Tehran state schools, who were married at the time of the research and were between twenty-five to sixty-five years old in 2017. From whom a sample of five-hundred-four individuals was selected using a cluster multi-stage random sampling method; and questionnaires were applied. Data collection was done based on Bagarozzi couples' intimacy questionnaire, Ingram and Winski's positive thinking questionnaire, and Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CFI). After implementing the questionnaires, the analysis of the data was done through Excel2013 and SPSS25 statistical software in two sections: descriptive and inferential by Pearson correlation test.
Results: Research results showed that there was a positive significant relationship between all components of couples' intimacy except for bodily and cognitive intimacy with positive thinking P<0.05; and that there was a positive significant relationship between cognitive flexibility and the total score of positive thinking with components such as daily positive performance and positive self-assessment.
Conclusions: By using positive thinking training for young couples or troubled ones, and increasing their marital satisfaction, intimacy, adaptiveness, and flexibility of couples could be increased.
