This study aimed to investigate the effect of metaphorical cognitive and behavioral therapy on depression and resilience in divorced women.

Beck depression test (1991) and Connor and Davison resilience test (2003) were taken twice from each group. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used.
Results: The result of covariance analysis showed that the mean scores of depression in post-test were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01). Results also described that this treatment increases the resilience of divorced women, but its effect was not significant (P<0.01).
