The Perspective of Professional Educators and Rehabilitators About the Impact of Professional Training Workshops on Professional Rehabilitation of People with Intellectual and Physical Disability

Introduction: Vocational rehabilitation is one of the rehabilitation actions for improving the quality and quantity of life of people with special needs. The purpose of this study is an evaluation of the ideas of rehabilitation experts and educators about the impact of professional training workshops on vocational rehabilitation of persons with physical and mental disability.
Methodology: The population consist of all rehabilitation experts (38) and help coaches and trainers (34) in vocational training centers and‌‌ NGO support rehabilitation workshops in Kerman (8 units) are in the service (in total 72 people). Census method was used in this study. The Research Tools consist of a Two-part questionnaire includes demographic information and a questionnaire includes five questions.
 Content validity was confirmed by ten experts and supervisors in professional training centers for disabled persons with special needs. The Reliability was calculated by Cranach’s alpha (7.0). Data were analyzed by descriptive and analytical statistics (u Mann-Whitney test).
Results: The Average scores of the participants were 37/92 and The Average scores of educators 38/40 and the Average scores of rehabilitation expert’s attitude were 37/50. Participants Job attitude in the workshops were positive about the impact of professional training workshops on vocational rehabilitation for people with mental and physical disability. There was no difference Between Attitude of rehabilitation experts and educators. There was no statistical difference Between Attitudes of educators and experts about the impact of professional training workshops on job Trends rate in people with disability.
Conclusions: Vocational rehabilitation experts believe that the workshops have a lot of proportions with job Trends. Perhaps the reason for this issue is that the workshops have been launched According to the Professional assessors, trainers and experts and Local market needs and trends of disabled people with special needs
