This study determines the mediating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between financial anxiety and life satisfaction in students. Methods: The research method was correlation using structural equation modeling and the research population was the students of Yazd University. Two hundred fifty-five students were selected by the conventional method and filled out Archuleta, Dean, and Span financial anxiety, the Diner life satisfaction questionnaire, and Scherer and Maddox general self-efficacy questionnaire. AMOS software was used for the final evaluation of the model. Results: The findings showed that financial anxiety had a significant negative relationship with self-efficacy and life satisfaction, and self-efficacy had a significant positive relationship with life satisfaction. Also, the findings showed that the fit indicators of the conceptual model were acceptable after minor corrections and self-efficacy could play a mediating role in the relationship between financial anxiety and student life satisfaction. Conclusions: Financial anxiety affects reducing students' life satisfaction by reducing self-efficacy.
