Interpreting the Student's Experiences of Violence in the Educational System

Introduction: Understanding the experience of student daily life can play an effective role in preventing violence in the educational system. Therefore, this study aimed at representing the interpretations of students' experiences of violence in the educational system.
Methods: This qualitative study was carried out using the phenomenological method. The progress of data collection was carried out in 2016-2017 by snowball sampling (or chain sampling) method using a semi-structured interview and focused group. Entry criteria for samples was, at least ten and maximum fifteen years old, sex male or female, having experience of violence in the educational environment. The data were analyzed by content analysis method.
Results: Student's experience of violence in the educational system was interpreted in three forms: "inimical educational system", "avoiding school" and "applying care strategies" 
Conclusions: The results of this study emphasize the importance of preventative measures of violence at different levels in the educational system. Strong enforcement of the law on the prohibition of violence in the educational system, the rehabilitation of injured children, and consideration of effective infrastructure in reducing and controlling violence in the educational system are effective and preventive measures.
