The study population included all deaf girl students between ten and twelve years old in 2015-16, who were selected based on convenience sampling method and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group received ten sessions of reality therapy (ninety minutes each) in five weeks while the control group received none. As a research instrument, Ryff's scales of psychological well-being questionnaire were administered to both groups, and then multivariate analysis of covariance used to analyze data.
Results: The results showed that psychological well-being (positive relations with others, environmental mastery, self-acceptance, autonomy, personal growth, and purpose in life) of deaf students in the experimental group was significantly increased by training reality therapy compared to the control group.
