The Effectiveness of Social and Philosophical Schools in Social Planning

Introduction: Social planning as a theoretical and practical activity of aware human of the twentieth century, is mainly based on wisdom, rational thinking and taking advantage of new sciences like social sciences and applied mathematics. Presumption of social planning is believing that human acquired the necessary tools and knowledge to intervene in the process of social life, and in practice, he can organize them to his needs and goals.
Methods: This study was a systematic review. Therefore, books and documents related to social planning, community social work, and economic development were studied. And finally from this collection of seventeen books, articles and documents; four documents and books were selected.
Results: The nature of social problems and the dimensions of social development approach, social, environment and sustainable development movements and social security and welfare approach (in political worldviews of liberal democratic, social democracy and democratic socialism); had a great impact on the evolution of the concept, methodology and mechanism of social planning. In addition, at the micro-level, social planning has been affected by social work and social management's new theories.
Conclusions: Social planning is done with the participation of social workers and it's beneficiary. The foundation of social planning is a deep survey by social workers, this research–planning process includes the following items:
1- Survey over the social problem.
2- Specifying of aims of the plan.
3- Codification and evaluation of social plane.
It is suggested to utilize this particular social work approach to examine, control, reduce and prevent social problems.
